Electric Power Steering Issues

The car has many functions, and we know very little about these functions.

Sometimes it is obvious that the car has already put forward a fault prompt, but some errors are caused because we all do not understand or care.

So today, the editor will test whether you know the common faults of electronic power steering! Today, I will introduce this issue to you.

Common faults of electronic power steering: common faults of automotive electronic power steering

1. The wiring harness connector of the control system is in poor contact.

2. The system fuse is blown.

3. The relay is damaged.

4. The controller, motor, or sensor is damaged in the electric power assist system.

Electronic Power Steering Common Faults

Power steering systems that directly rely on the motor to supply additional torque are known as electric power steering (EPS).

In contrast to the conventional HPS (hydraulic power steering system) (Hydraulic Power Steering), the EPS system has many advantages.

EPS mainly consists of a torque sensor, vehicle speed sensor, electric motor, deceleration mechanism, and electronic control unit (ECU).

Common faults of electronic power steering: please check the following faults first

  • Whether the connection between the steering wheel and the steering column is loose
  • Whether the connection between the ten-byte and the steering column, the ten-byte, and the steering gear is loose
  • Whether the tie rod (inner ball head) of the steering mechanism is loose and whether the outer ball head is corroded

This article must have broadened your knowledge of the common faults of electronic power steering.

The editor thinks that everyone must have a good understanding of this knowledge. It will be helpful to us. Finally, I hope my discussion can help you.
